| Liebe Künstler und Bands, da wir sehr oft mit denselben Fragen und Aussagen konfrontiert werden, haben wir an dieser Stelle einige der unserer Ansicht nach Wichtigsten für dich gebündelt und beantwortet. Wir hoffen, damit einen Großteil deiner Fragen bereits im Vorfeld beantworten zu können. Solltes es trotzdem noch Unklarheiten geben, deine Frage hier nicht aufgeklärt werden oder du uns sonstige Vorschläge oder Kritik unterbreiten möchtest, kannst du jederzeit per Kontaktformular oder via E-Mail persönlich mit uns in Kontakt treten. Frage 1:
Ihr habt auf einem Konzert Fotos von mir bzw. meiner Band gemacht! Dürfen wir die Bilder verwenden?
Das hängt davon ab, wozu genau ihr sie benutzen möchtet!
Leider kam es in der Vergangenheit schon mehrfach vor, dass ganze Galerien am Stück ohne jede Quellenangabe auf den Facebook-Seiten von Bands aufgetaucht sind.
Auch wenn unsere Bilder mit einem Wasserzeichen versehen sind – so etwas ist nicht nur eine Schweinerei,
sondern schlicht und ergreifend auch eine Verletzung unseres Urheberrechts.
Wenn ihr eine Social Network-Seite oder eine Galerie auf eurer Band-Website besitzt und Bilder aus unserem Magazin dorthin kopieren möchtet,
dann dürft ihr das tun, sofern ihr zu den Bildern den folgenden Hinweis samt Backlink zu unserer Website hinzufügt:

Grundsätzlich nicht verwenden dürft ihr unsere Bilder zu Marketingzwecken, als Designelemente, als Druckvorlage für Merchandise, als offizielle Promo-Bilder im Internet oder auf CD-Inlays sowie als digitales Bildarchiv auf CD- oder DVD-Veröffentlichungen!
Natürlich stellen wir euch unsere Materialien hierfür gerne zur Verfügung. In diesem Fall ist es aber auf jeden Fall notwendig, vorher die Konditionen im Einzelnen abzuklären.

Question 1:
You made great live pictures of me and my band at one of our shows!
May we use them?
It depends on what you intend to do with the pictures!
It happened a few times in the past that complete galleries from our magazine appeared on other websites without giving us any credit.
That’s not copying, that’s stealing! Even though our pictures are watermarked.
If you have got a social network page or a gallery on your band website and want to mirror pictures from our magazine, you may feel free to do so as long as you add the following text and link to the pictures:

You must not use any of our pictures for marketing purposes, as design elements, for merchandise, as official promotional pictures on the internet or on cd inlays as well as for digital picture archives on CD or DVD releases!
Of course we will gladly allow you to do so, but then we will have to discuss the details and conditions in advance.

Frage 2:
Können wir euch unsere CD für eine Review schicken?
Wenn ihr ein Album auf dem Markt habt oder selbst vertreibt, könnt ihr uns gerne jederzeit ein Exemplar zuschicken.
Für unaufgefordert eingesandte Materialien können wir jedoch keine zeitnahe Veröffentlichung garantieren!
Wir werden natürlich trotzdem versuchen, eine Review in unseren Zeitplan mit einzuflechten und sie so schnell wie möglich online zu stellen.
Bitte schickt uns keine MP3s! Wenn wir uns für euch schon die Mühe machen, dann möchten wir auch eine richtige CD für unser Archivregal haben.
Außerdem bitte keine Promo-Releases! Das wären CDs, die mit gesprochenen Copyright-Hinweisen während der laufenden Musik unterbrochen sind,
auf selbstgebrannten Rohlingen daherkommen oder eine dicke Aufschrift à la „For Promotion only“ tragen. Nein, wir wollen eure Scheibe nicht verscherbeln –
aber wir möchten in Zukunft regelmäßig unser Archiv plündern um CDs, Autogramme etc. an unsere Leser zu verlosen. Da können wir dann mit Promo-Versionen eurer Musik nichts
anfangen und ihr verliert kostenlose Werbung samt potentieller neuer Hörer.
EPs und Demos rezensieren wir nicht!

Question 2:
May we send you our album for a review?
If you’ve already released an album on the regular music market, you may feel free to send us a physical copy for a review.
However, we cannot guarantee a prompt publication for material that has been send to us unasked for.
Please do not send us MP3s or promotional releases, i.e. CDs with spoken copyright notices during the music, self-burned blank discs or such with a “For Promotion Only” label on them. No, we certainly don’t want to sell your music! But we are planning on doing tombolas in the future where the fans can win music material. For that, we cannot use promotion discs and you lose potentially new listeners.
In general, we do not review EPs and demo recordings!

Frage 3:
Würdet ihr ein Interview mit uns führen?
Leider können wir junge oder erst sehr regional bekannte Bands aus Kapazitätsgründen nicht im Interview-Schedule berücksichtigen.
So gerne wir es auch täten – bei der schieren Anzahl an Anfragen, die wir erhalten würden, kämen die übrigen Inhalte zu kurz.

Question 3:
Would you do a interview with us?
Unfortunately it is not possible for us to do interviews with very young or only locally known bands.
We’d love to do that, but most of the year our time schedule is already overbooked for months to come! Sorry for that …

Würdet ihr uns fotografieren? Wir hätten so gerne professionelle Live-Bilder von uns!
Das ist prinzipiell möglich! Kontaktiert dazu bitte direkt unseren Fotografen

Would you take live pictures of us?
That’s basically possible, but we are limited to northern Germany for logistical reasons.
If you are about to play a show here, feel free to directly contact our photographer
